If you took the time to read their individual bio's you could get the idea that they are quite amazing people. And if you were in or interested in working the network marketing industry and you had the chance to work with bright, successful people like these, you would probably jump at the chance.
In addition to the content of their bio's, the purport to have been married for 11 years (as of 2005) and have worked closely on many projects - they know each other well - no secrets here.
This is what happened to us. My name is John Charleston and my wife is Cecily Wright. We live in Washington State.
I created this web page to warn others that meet up with these people to take caution!
John and Cecily were sponsored by the Mowens into their Isagenix business in April of 2005. Shortly after that Elizabeth performed an interview and one of the questions was; how much money we wanted to earn in the next 6 months. Cecily's reply was swift; "as much as possible"!
Elizabeth asked why, and was told the story of John and Cecily had purchased an adjacent home and property to their existing and that they were $100,000.00 short of paying cash for the property when it closed later in the fall of that year. Elizabeth shared with the couple how incredible Jeff was with making money from money he invests in offshore banking / currencies businesses. She thought it would be so great if Jeff would help us.
To make a long story very short, Cecily turned over $200,000.00 to Jeff Mowen in July 2005 for him to invest along with his investments, with the understanding, intention and agreement that Jeff would grow the funds as quickly as possible and return them with the respective gain. Jeff was doing this as a 'favor' as he 'never' provides this type of financial help to outside people; only his family and very close friends.
When the real estate project finalized a 'close' date, Jeff was requested to make the funds available on a certain date prior to that time. The date to return the money came and passed along with many different stories as to why the money could not be made available.
At this point the couple became very apprehensive as many of the threads in Jeff's stories became entangled and some were clearly untruths. John and Cecily hired a Private Investigator and within a week the real truth surfaced;
Jeff is a twice convicted felon for securities fraud!
Below is a "Public Record", 3 page "Wrap Sheet" of convictions, judgments, small claim actions, and an ongoing list of misdemeanors and infractions of the law, read this and you will see why you should avoid these people at all costs.
A very wise person once wrote "Results: The best way to judge something is by results; often harsh, always fair" - and in this situation the 'results' are clear and straightforward - the Mowens are NOT who they say they are!
The State of Utah then opened a 3rd investigation (case # 8171-723) pertaining to Jeff Mowen and this event. Any pertinent facts that you may need to validate the content of this web page can be procured as "Public Information" from the Utah State Offices located at the following address:

Other Information: The State of Utah has assessed a fine of $25,000 on Elizabeth Ward for setting up and participating in the scam. She meets all the qualifications to be a very effective 'shill', and Jeff has definately lived most of his adult life as a 'Confidence Man'.
